It seemed not only foolish to undergo this procedure but downright stupid.
I had the luxury of a relatively low PSA count, so I was able to wait it out. “Watchful waiting” is now slowly becoming the new “gold standard” for prostate cancer care. But what happens in the first decade of the twenty-first century, where ambulatory surgical centers abound? “Elective surgery” has become a hobby for some people, and you can go under the knife between breakfast and lunch.
