In the literature, one may find several approaches that implement this general idea of selecting important concepts. In this paper, we propose and approach based on a phenomenon well-known in the psychology of concepts, namely the basic level of concepts. In addition to the aim of utilizing the basic level of concepts in FCA, we would like to draw the attention of researchers in FCA to this phenomenon as well as to argue that FCA may be seen as a simple formal framework for studying this phenomenon itself and thus be of interest for the psychologists of concepts (see also [1]).
